William W. Jones, 77, beloved husband, father, brother and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. His memory will be cherished by all that knew him. He was born December 24, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ. William moved to the Hampton Roads area as a young man. He graduated from Hampton High School, class of 1959. He spent his career of 41 years with Newport News Shipbuilding. After retirement, he enjoyed time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 55 years, Julia Jones; two sons, Stephen Jones of Gloucester and Keith Jones and his wife Nicole of Orlando, FL.; his grandchildren Zach Jones, Shelby Jones, Madalyn Jones and Jamison Jones; and his brother Bobby Jones and his wife Peggy.
William's life will be celebrated by family and friends at a later date.
