Vivian Kathleen (Cathy) Stansell passed away on June 18, 2023 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Gloucester on February 22, 1957 and was a lifelong Gloucester native, graduating from Gloucester High School in 1977.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Robins Stansell and George Lewis Stansell, as well as her sister, Helen Stansell. She is survived by her son, Leidy Burton (Butch) Clark, Jr and sisters Nell Gwyn and Peggy Laman, as well as grandchildren Jacob, Jesse and Joshua Clark. And Trenton and Savanna, whom she loved as if they were her grandchildren. She also leaves behind many heartbroken friends, both old and new to remember her. Cathy had a heart as big as the universe and was well known for her loving and giving ways. She would help out anyone even though she may not have had much herself. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements are being handled by Andrews Funeral Home and, per Cathy's request, there will be no funeral. She has asked her family to, instead, schedule a later Celebration of her life at such time as is appropriate.
The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Hospice and especially Heather Keyes for her extraordinary care and friendship during her final time. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice.
