Vernon Keith Simmons, 46, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. and was a member of Lighthouse Worship Center.

Keith was so loved by his family. He had a heart of gold and loved to help others. Keith was very passionate in his career of drywall, painting and pressure washing. His hobbies included cooking on the grill, racing and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He possessed a great sense of humor and always cheered up those around him. Most importantly, he loved God and his family more than words can describe. May he rest in peace with the good Lord above.

He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Edward Simmons and is survived by his wife Becky Simmons. his mother Judy Simmons. his children Brian Keith Allaman, Troy Austin Shackelford, Tiffany Lynn Shackelford, and Travis James Shackelford, sisters Angela Marie Pessagmo and Veronica Wilson. and his grandchildren Skyla Marie Shackelford and Brian Allaman, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Groves Memorial Presbyterian Churn. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Small Cell Lung Cancer Association. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
