Theresa Joannes Allen, 93, of Hayes, Va. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Fall River Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Henry and Eva Joannes. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and was retired from the Bendix Corp. in Newport News, Va.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years Floyd F. Allen, her daughters Christine Blaylock(Doug), Marguerite Coffie(Frank E. Bristow), Joanne Sreves( Roger), Cynthia Sweeney( Thomas M.) Eva Fornash(Bobby), and Laura Harrington, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at St, Therese Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from 11:00 am - 12:00 p.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Church of the Visitation Cemetery, 8462 General Puller Hwy. Topping, Va.  23169. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society.
