Shirley J. Coates, 84, of Achilles, VA, passed away August 6, 2021, with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar & Alera Coates, sisters, Louise Hall, Jerline Grant, Myrtle Keaton, Ruth Bonniville, and Mary Jo Bonniville.

Shirley is survived by her son Ronnie Coates (Elaine), sisters, Linda Hall (Marvin), Suzanne Haywood, brothers, Roy Coates (Shirley), Kenneth Coates (Diane), and Oscar Coates Jr., nephew, Steve Hall (Anna), niece, Nancy Jenkins (Ben), other nieces and nephews, Grandchildren, Marlie Sigala (Steven), Carlie Husky, Billy Northrop, Casey Coates (Jen), Randy Coates, and 3 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at Gloucester Point Cemetery. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
