Sheila Mae Wingo Booth went home to her Lord and savior on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born on September 18, 1936 in Amelia County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Robert and Marian Wingo, and they moved to Hampton, Virginia in the early 40's.Sheila graduated from Hampton High School in 1954. She married the love of her life, Ronnie Booth on January 5, 1957, and they had three girls. They moved to Gloucester, Virginia in 1977 and they built their dream home and planted a garden. They loved to work the land. Sheila worked for the Department of Social Services for 20 years as an Eligibility Supervisor until she retired in January 2000. Sheila was active with the First Presbyterian Church in the Prayer Shawl and Stephens Ministry's.Sheila loved to knit and crochet and was constantly working on prayers shawls, blankets for the babies at CHKD, and each grandchild has at least one of Nana's blankets. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Marian Wingo; her sister Forest Fields and her husband Charles"Ronnie"Booth.                                                                                                                                                                                        She is survived by her sister, Amelia Anning (Harold) of Gloucester. Her daughters: Ellie Galloway(Stuart) of Gloucester, VA; Sherry Brown (Chris) of Fairfax, VA; and Sally Wood (Steve) of Gloucester, VA, nine grandchildren: Sarah Warfield (Angela) VA. Beach, VA; Jacob Galloway, Gloucester, VA, Ryan Brown (Jaimee) Fairfax, VA; Sean Brown (Kate) Houston, TX; Nicholas Lawrence, Chicago, Il; Lindsay Forrest(David) Gulfport, MS; Jessie Brown, Arlington, VA; Cory Brown, Fairfax, VA; Rachel Lawrence, Gloucester, VA; three step grandchildren, Ben Wood and Hunter Wood of Williamsburg, VA, and Parker Wood of Virginia Beach, VA; three great grandchildren, and two more on the way.The family will receive friends at Andrews Funeral Home in Gloucester on Saturday, March 3, 2018 10:30 a.m. -11:30 a.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Riverside Hospice or any charity of your choice
