Obituary

Samuel Keith Dame, (Kebo), 70, passed away on November 18, 2025, with his family by his side at VCU.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy (T.E.) and Elsie Dame of Naxera. He is survived by his sisters, Dottie Hogge (Corky), Theresa Bradshaw (Gerald); brothers Mike Dame (Kaye), Kevin Dame (Susan), and Brad Dame; and Doug Leckey (Brendi), Cheryl Dame Slavnik; plus, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He graduated from Gloucester High School in 1974 and from Virginia Wesleyan College where he played baseball.

He was a well-sought after Class A contractor who was meticulous in his work.

He loved fishing, crabbing, hunting, softball, baseball, and family. He grew a very large garden so he could share with many. He loved to listen and dance to beach music. And boy did he have "special dance moves." He was also known for his 35-45 mph speed limit. He was a member of Severn Church in Naxera.

Keith will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be on January 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Abingdon Ruritan Club in Bena. Come prepared to share memories. Andrews Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
