With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sailele Auseuga who peacefully departed this world following his father, Aimiti Auseuga.  He is survived by his mother, Gase Reupena, his wife, Shannon Huie Auseuga, children Zelph, Tobias, Ezra, Thomas, Lorenzo, Raven, Jared Huie, and Anna Henningfeld, and siblings Steven, Topalei, Tinae, and Sonia.

Sailele Auseuga passed away at 10:30 pm on March 3rd, 2024, at his home in Gloucester, Virginia, surrounded by his loving family.

A celebration of Sailele's life will be held on Thursday, March 7th, at 6:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gloucester, Virginia, and officiated by Bishop Nathan Mitchell.

Born on July 8, 1964, in Auckland, New Zealand, Sailele's journey was marked by love, kindness, and inspiration. He embraced the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from a young age and served as a missionary in Adelaide, South Australia.

A devoted father, Sailele cherished his children and bonus children, Jared Huie and Anna Henningfeld, and his 9 grand children following his marriage to Shannon Huie in 2017. His commitment to family was unwavering, demonstrated through his tireless efforts to provide and support them.

Sailele found solace in weightlifting and Tae Kwon Do, attaining the rank of second dan black belt. His dedication to physical fitness mirrored his thirst for knowledge, often found studying books at the library.

Sailele's warmth and kindness left an indelible impression on all who knew him. Though he has left this world, his legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.

In honoring Sailele's memory, let us cherish the moments shared and strive to emulate his compassion and generosity. May he rest in eternal peace, his legacy living on in the hearts of all who loved him.
