Obituary

Ronald J. "Ronnie" Moore, 84, of Gloucester passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024. He was born at Zanoni, Va. and was the son of the late Jack and Alice Hall Moore. He retired from the Newport News Shipyard after 37 years of service and was in production planning. He also retired from Newton's  Bus Service with 36 years of service and also worked at Sidney Logging for over 20 years. He had a strong work ethic.
He was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church, Vice President of Harcum Hunt Club and was an "AVID" hunter &  fisherman, and a member the Class of 1958 Mathews High School. He never met a stranger, was  kind,and always willing to help others, a man's man.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Moore Baranski, son Ronald Brent Moore, and granddaughter Elizabeth Rose Baranski and is survived by his wife Carolyn Clements Moore, son Scott Moore(Kathy), brother Donald Moore(Virginia), sisters Faye Respress(Roy), and Brenda Moore, grandchildren Ronnie Moore, Daniel Moore, Steven Baranski, Jr.(Rana), Bryant Baranski(Sarah), Jacob Baranski(Jess), and Christopher Baranski, many great grandchildren, son-in-law Steven Baranski, Sr., and adopted daughter Leigh-Anne, and his special brothers-in-law, Frankie Clements and J.D. Clements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May, 17, 2024 at Petsworth Baptist Church. Burial will be at Bellamy Memorial Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
