Robyn Lynn Peterson, beloved wife of Dan A. Peterson, passed away on December 7, 2021, at her home in Gloucester, Virginia at the age 66. The daughter of Lois Lee and Carl Lee Lawson, she was born on October 4, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio and was the oldest of their five children: Ray, Donna, Junior, and Kenny. As a member of a military family that relocated frequently, Robyn attended Killeen High School in Texas, and on August 15, 1987, she married her husband, Dan in Santa Clara, California. She proudly achieved her GED and a certificate in medical coding, leading to a 20-year career in the health care industry. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, she also loved all motor sports, especially being a fan of NHRA driver, John Force and NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed time with her dogs Maximillian, Ginger, and Toby. Those close to her describe her as a free spirit, and she cherished close friendships with Carolyn Motley, Robin Boyles, and Marti Passarelli.

Robyn is survived by her husband Dan A. Peterson (Gloucester, VA), son Eli Grimm (and spouse Andrea of Colorado Springs, CO), grandchildren Sasha Grimm (Old Town, FL), Findley Grimm (Colorado Springs, CO), and Theo Grimm (Colorado Springs, CO), great-grandson Asher Gendron (Old Town, FL), mother Lois Lawson (Athens, AL), and siblings Raymond Mitchell Lawson (and Debra of Ocean Isles Beach, NC), Donna Marie Millard (and Don of Newport News, VA) and Kenneth Gene Lawson (Williamsburg, VA). She was preceded in death by her father Carl Lee Lawson, Sr. and her brother, Carl Lee Lawson, Jr.

Her husband Dan wishes to thank all their good neighbors, especially those who watched over Robyn when Dan's trucking career kept him away on the road, and his sister, Cindy Wainwright during this difficult time. Details regarding a memorial service will be forthcoming after the new year.
