Robert Peter Whitam, 85, of Gloucester, passed away on September 10. 2022. He was born on July 31, 1937 in Natchez, Mississippi and was the son of the late Peter and Jean Whitam.
He spent 23 years in the U.S. Air Force retiring as MSGT. After his military service he retired to Panama City FL where he worked at Tyndall AFB in the various drone programs for Sherry Flight Systems, & RCA Target & Scoring.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Gail Whitam and a son Robert Keith Whitam and is survived by his children Richard Whitam (Jan) and Deborah Silvin (Michael). five grandchildren, one great grandchild, and special friends Ray Unangst and Bob and Barbara Price.
Funeral services will be held in Panama City, FL at a later date. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
