Robert (Bob) Nelson Montgomery, 80, of Hayes, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Born in Baltimore County, he was the son of the late Charles Nelson Montgomery and Catherine Virginia (Mauck) Montgomery. He was the husband of Anna Rose (McConnell) Montgomery with whom he shared 59 happy years.
Bob was a graduate of Kenwood High School in Essex, Maryland. Bob became an electrical engineer after four years of electrical schooling and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Local 24) from which he received his 55 year pin.
Bob owns many homes that he remodeled, his favorite being his cabin on the Susquehanna River in Whiteford, MD. He enjoyed spending time on the water with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his only child, Laura (Montgomery) Turlington, wife of George Robert Turlington, Jr. of Hayes, VA; his two grandchildren Alexis Nicole Hogge (Zachary) and Emma Rose Williams. He is also survived by his sisters, Dolores Jean (Montgomery) Quinn and Roxanne Denise (Montgomery) Bailey along with several nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces.  Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Lee (Montgomery) Shiloski.
A celebration of Bob's life will take place in the summer of 2024 on Broad Creek in Whiteford, MD.
