Robert Haring French, 95,of Gloucester, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at his home. He was born in Hackensack, NJ, and was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy French. He served his county in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Industrial Engineer. He was a former member of Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue where he was an EMT and also had been the Treasurer. He was a member of Grace Bible Church where he had served as an Elder.
He is also preceded in death by a son Robert Stuart French and is survived by his wife Elaine Mary Adolph French, daughter Barbara Jo Abbott, son Thomas Edward French, sister Mary Jane French, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Grace Bible Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Bible Church. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
