Robert Edward Crone "West Virginia's Finest", age 73, died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday February 01, 2020 in Newport News, Virginia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38-years, Janice Crone, of Gloucester, VA; his children; Ginger (Paul) Doss, Robert Crone Jr, Donna (Tim) Parks, Karen (Dennis) Rector, Rebecca Crone (Rick Dickinson), Greg (Penny) Crone, Jody Lee (Sharon) Crone; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Reginald "Gene" Crone, Charles Crone, John Crone, and Lillian "Sissy" Frazer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Reginald and Elizabeth Crone; his dear daughter Lisa Crone-Price; his grandson Jason Dravenstott; sisters Sue Mundy and Ann Miller.

He was born the son of a coal miner on August 17, 1946 in Minden, WVA. He was a great family man, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  His greatest investment was in people.  To most who knew him; he was a Master Tradesmen; to his family he was much more than that.  He was a God loving man who enjoyed fishing, camping, tinkering, and his family most of all.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, care, and prayers. Family, friends, and others whose lives he touched are invited to the following service.

Viewing will be at Petworth Baptist Church located at 2471 Hickory Fork Rd Gloucester, VA on Tuesday February 04, 2020, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm; with a service to follow at 6:00pm officiated by Pastor John Pouchot.

We will be taking him back home for a graveside service to be held on Thursday February 06, 2020 at 11:00am, at High Lawn Memorial Park located at 1435 Main St Oak Hill, WVA.

Flowers can be sent to Andrews Funeral Home in Gloucester, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Petsworth Baptist Church in memory of "Bob".
