Raymond Otho Chesnut, 81, passed away on September 2, 2021. He was a native of Neola, WV and was the son of the late Lawrence and Hallie Chesnut. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps working as a jet mechanic. After serving our country, Raymond went back to work at the Mack Truck Co. in Hagerstown, MD where he retired. In 1996, Raymond and his wife moved to Daytona Beach, Florida to enjoy retirement at the beach.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nondis Campbell Chesnut, daughter Starlina Kladler (Greg); his sisters Dorothy Trainer, Gladys Wade, and Olena Kersey; and his granddaughters Sarah and Allison Kladler.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs, WV. The burial will be at May Chapel Cemetery, Neola, WV. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
