Paul William Doss, Jr., 80, of Gloucester, Va. passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Wytheville, Va. and was the son of the late Paul W. and Amanda L. Doss. He retired from the Fairfax Fire Department as a firefighter serving from 1969-1983. He also worked in Security at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Senior Group of the Piankatank Golf Course.
He was preceded n death by his wife, Shirley A. Doss, sister Betty Ogle, and brothers James Doss and Randy Doss. He is survived by his sons Timothy Paul Doss(Jennifer) and James William Doss,(Penny), grandchildren James Doss, Jr., Zachary Doss, and Brittany Graham, and Great Grandchildren Audrey, Finnley, Lincoln, Lilly, and Eddie.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 2-3:00 p.m. with a graveside service being held at 3:30 p.m. at  Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Riverside Waster Reed Hospice, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Va.  23061. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at the Piankatank River Golf Course, 6198 Stormont Road, Hartfield, Va.   Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
