Nan Swindell Parks, 98, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born in Hyde County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Cecil and Nina Caffee Swindell and the widow of Herman W. Parks. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Kenny Parks and Ryan Parks, great grandson Robbie Harwood and brothers Jessie and John Swindell. She is survived by her sons Herman K. "Bill" Parks and Robert Parks, Sister Evelyn Sadler, grandchildren Ann Harwood, Matthew Parks and John Parks, great grandchildren Kenny, Emily, and Brittany, Great-great grandchildren Hudson, Harrison, and Troy.
Due to Covid-19, graveside services will be private. The family would like ti express their thanks to the many people who provided health care for her and the ones that loved here and visited her or sent cards and showed their love for her. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
