Nalley Lee "Scooters" Gilroy, 74, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2022 at his home. He was born  in Doncaster, Maryland and was the son of the late Maynard and Zella Gilroy, Sr. He was a retired roofer and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on cars, and riding his motorcycle.

Lee was also preceded in death by his brothers, Maynard "Dick" Gilroy, Jr. and Pynckel "Penny" Gilroy.

Lee is survived by his soulmate Norma Jean Corbin, his children John "Johnny" & Robin Kane, Jamie & Jill Kane, Chanin Gilroy, Crystal Young & Trey Blake, Cheyann & Douglas Harris, and Scott Young & Janie Rosso, and his grandchildren Amber, Jordan, Ava, Cameron, Julia, William, Alexa, Corbin, Nicholas, Jaxson, Mason, David, and Harlow.

The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00-3:00 p.m., with services starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life on May 7, 2022 from 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the F.O.P. Lodge #24, 10285 Rosewick Road, La Plata, Charles County, MD, 20646 .

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Riverside Cancer Center, Gloucester, Va.
