Michael "Mike" R Olsen passed away 2/10/2025.  He was born in Ronkonkoma New York to Everett and Patricia Olsen Christmas Eve 1954.  Mike is survived by his wife of 49 years Denise "Dee" Olsen, his daughters Jennifer (Josh), Cheryl (Chris), and Pamela.  Grandchildren Aaron, Emily, Hayden, Blake and Bryce.  His sisters Carol (Don) and Kathy (Jose) and nephew Jacob. Sister in law Rosanne and nieces Laura and Susan. Countless others that considered him dad, uncle and grandfather.

He married his high school sweetheart Dee June 1976 after enlisting in the Navy September 1975 He served 20 years traveling from California to Rhode Island to Hawaii to Virginia to Pennsylvania to Virginia again.  Retiring from the Navy 1995 he worked for the City of Virginia Beach and then for the State of Virginia.  He moved to Gloucester Virginia in 2001 with family  with plans to retire, however could not sit still and worked at local automotive parts stores.

Mike was always the first to help anyone in need and spent countless hours under the hood of cars and trucks maintaining and repairing.  He enjoyed caring for and spending time with his family, hunting, and riding his four wheeler.  His home always had an open door for those in need and raised more than just his children.

Our family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Riverside Peninsula Cancer Institute and Infusion Center Gloucester for the kindness and compassion you shared with Mike and family.

Visitation with family is scheduled for 11:00 am March 3, 2025 at Andrews Funeral Home followed by graveside service at Albert G Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
