Melvin (Mickey) Peter Anderson, 85, passed away on November 8, 2023. He was born in Fargo, ND on August 1, 1938 and was the son of the late Melvin and Lillie Anderson. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He had been employed by Mercedes Benz truck plant in Hampton,was the owner of Motor Sports Motorcycle Shop in Hampton, and was owner operator of Swede's Volvo Repair in Gloucester.
After retiring in 2008, he and his wife Sue spent 7 years traveling the country in their RV, returning to be near their family in 2017, settling in King & Queen Courthouse, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Sue A. Anderson, his son Anthony (Tony) P. Anderson(Kathy), his step-sons Michael D. Chenault(Sharon) and Barry R. Chenault(Anita), his step-daughter Susan Cottle and several grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Two O'clock at Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton, Va. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
