Maxine Kniseley Scott was born on May 12, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida to Milton and Alice Hill and attended school in Stanton College Prep High. She was a member of White Marsh Baptist Church. Maxine had a love for Bingo and was a Pit Boss when she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. On September 28th 2024 she was peacefully called home while sleeping next to her loving husband Thomas Scott, whom is left to mourn her memory. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Alice Hill, Aunt Mary Ruth Carswell and uncle William Worthen.
She leaves behind her children, Wanda Jones; Milton Hill; Zina Gillis; Tammy Leonard, Cornemius Pierce; Stephanie Pierce Stampley and cousins Larry Solomon; Gus Carswell and Lois Douglas.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, VA. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon.
