Mary Beth Nelson-Murphy, 84, of Gloucester passed away suddenly at her home on March 2, 2025. She was born in Fremont, Nebraska and was the daughter of the late Harry and Sue Mead.
She moved to Virginia in 1994 to be with her daughter and family. Shortly after arriving, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This year marked 30 years cancer free. She had many jobs in her adult life, but her favorite was driving a bus for Gloucester County for 13 years where she met her cherished Lunch Bunch.
She never met a stranger and would go out of her way to love on A dog. If you gave her a minute she would tell you how proud she is of her Children and grandchildren With multiple pictures on her phone to prove it.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her father, Harry and mother Susan Mead, Her sister's Harriet and Margaret and her beloved Charlie(dog).
She is survived by her children, Christine Wilson(Glenn), Robert Nelson; Grandchildren, Kierstin Boyce(Blake) Noah Nelson. As well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of life on March 30, 2025 1 p.m. Mobjack Tavern, Gloucester, Virginia.
