Mary V. McNeely, 63, of Hayes, Virginia, passed away on April 25, 2017, at her home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Groves Memorial Church at 9117 Glass Rd, Hayes, VA 23072. Chaplin John Seltzer will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Groves Memorial Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Andrews Funeral Home and Crematory. Family and friends are gathering afterwards at 3239 Providence Road, Hayes, Va. at Abingdon Vol Fire & Rescue Station 5 for food & refreshments to celebrate the life of Mary.

Mary was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on November 12, 1954. She graduated from York High School and continued on to receive an Associate's degree from Thomas Nelson Community College.

Mary had worked as the Vice President of Virginia Title & Escrow for numerous years. She has since retired. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, walking, reading books, gardening, keeping busy, helping others, cooking, spending time at the Abington Fire Station helping where she could with the volunteer fire fighters where they thought of her as their Station Mom. She was also actively involved in going to the Union Baptist Church on Guinea Rd. to offer her time at the Food Bank every Thursday to help distribute food to the needy.

Mary is survived by her grandchildren, Haeleigh McNeely, Logan McNeely, and Teddy McNeely, her mother Shirley Keep, brother Richard Mahoney, sisters, Elaine Smith Sylvia Black, Cindy Keep Childrey, Patty Keep, her children Scott McNeely and Paul McNeely, daughter-in-law's, Crystal McNeely and Brandi McNeely and other family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her Father, Richard Lee Keep.
