Marla Marie Maratellos, 71 of Newport News and formerly of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2021 in Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was retired from Hampton V.A. Medical Center as the Coordinator of Chaplain Services and had served in the U.S. Air Force.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Curtis Wirt, brother Donald Milburn, brother-in-laws Jerry Wirt and Richard Wicker and is survived by her husband Terry Alan Maratellos, sons, Cory Michael Wirt(Allison) and Kevin Christopher Wirt(Katie), stepchildren Cathy Maratellos Clark(Dewayne), Brian Maratellos(Ann), and Mike Maratellos, sister Brenda Wicker, brothers Fred Milburn(Shere) and Monty Milburn, brother-in-laws John Wirt(Darlene) and Roger Wirt, sister-in-laws Doris Huff(Bob) and Lu Wirt Vacca(Steven), and grandchildren Kaitlyn MacKenna Wirt, Cooper Stephen Wirt, Hayden Alexis Wirt, and Holton Curtis Wirt, and extended family whom she loved dearly.
You may pay respects on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 am. Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
