Gloucester, Va. dateline

Lois Cass Simmons, born July 2, 1939 and departed this life on January 17, 2023. Lois retired from Gloucester County Public School System after working at both Peasley Middle School and Gloucester High School. She also loved to be outside gardening and RVing.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 40 years, Dave Simmons of Ark, Va.,. Her greatest joys were her three daughters Cindi, Bobbi, and Suzanne and her two step children Shannon and Chris.
She will be laid to rest in the family cemetery in Ithaca NY with a brief graveside service at a later date. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
