**Celebrating the Life and Graduation of Linda Lou Derton (Stark)**

On **May 14, 2025**, Linda Lou Derton spread her wings and graduated to heaven, leaving behind a legacy of strength, independence, and boundless generosity. Born on **September 15, 1940**, she spent her life devoted to her family, her work, and her unwavering sense of adventure.

For **29 years**, she guided the streets of Tucson as a city bus driver, ensuring others reached their destinations while tirelessly navigating the road of her own life. She raised her son with unwavering love, all while supporting her father and brother, never once hesitating to give all she had to those she cherished.

In the later years of her career, she worked at **Gloucester Walmart**, where she continued to make an impact in her community, bringing kindness and dedication to her work before retiring.

Adventure was in her soul. She traveled across the United States, breathing new life into RV parks, welcoming travelers, and embracing the beauty of the open road. Yet, the quiet serenity of the woods called to her heart, where she found peace in long walks under the trees, soaking in the world as only she could.

She asked for no funeral—only a graduation party. She saw her journey not as an end, but as a beautiful transition, ready to soar beyond this life into something greater. And so, we honor her wish. We do not mourn; we celebrate.

Linda is survived by her son, Charles Rickman and his wife Linda; her sister of love, Linda Teagle; and her adopted grandchildren, Michelle Pond, Renee Ramiez, and Trey Gilliland.

Dementia may have stolen her from our everyday moments, but it could never take the fierce, loving spirit she imprinted on all of us. We will carry her memory forward with laughter, with adventure, and with the kind of fearless love she showed every day.

A **Graduation Celebration** in her honor will take place on **June 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM**, at the home where she lived for **22 years**:
