Linda Jean Gallup of Gwynn, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 23, 1939, to Martin and Rosella Borst Dittmar of Schoharie, NY.
She moved to Gwynn, VA in 1982 where she and her husband Frank owned and operated Plain-n-Fancy Mfg , a reproduction furniture company. She loved her family, friends, and all her many pets.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gallup, and her parents, Martin and Rosella Borst Dittmar.
She is survived by her son, James (Vicki) Swartout, Jr. of Richmondville, NY; daughter, Aimee (Glenn, Jr.) Warner of Lancaster, VA ; daughter, Lori (Lowry, Jr.) Hudgins of Moon, VA and her son, Rory (Jennifer) Gallup  of Gwynn, VA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, her fur baby, Midnight; and her sister, Andrea Chaisson of Schoharie, NY and two nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone at Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation, Mathews, for the wonderful care given and love shown to our mom during her stay. Thank you also to Riverside  Walter Reed Hospice for their care these last few weeks.
No calling hours will be held. A private service for family will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue of your choice. Andrews Funeral Home assisted the family.
