Linda Asbury, aged 80, was ushered by Heavenly Angels to her Eternal Home on Friday, September 24. She received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior when she was very young and from that point on she lived her life to please her Lord. She was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, Virginia.
Linda was a vivacious person who loved people and endeavored to be a friend to everyone.
Linda was preceded in death by her Father, Nelson McGuire, in 1983; her mother, Allene McGuire, in 2018; and her daughter, Tracy Asbury Moore in 2012.
Left to treasure memories of her are her husband, Hugh Asbury, to whom she was devoted to for 59 years; children: Tami and Terry Hawkesworth, Teresa and Scott Wesely, and Bob and Melissa Moore. Grandchildren: Todd Hawkesworth and Anne Biere, Tiffany Hawkesworth, Amanda Wesely, Mariah Wesely, Rebecca Wesely, Cassondra and Branden Wilks, Olivia Moore and Thurman Hudgins, Carter Ambrose, and Tyler Moore. Greatgrandchildren: Graecin Waller, Olivia Wilks.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lighthouse Church, 4299 Geo. Wash. Mem. Hwy, Hayes, VA, on September 29, at 2 PM. A private interment will follow at Windsor Gardens, Dutton, VA. Andrews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
