Imogen (Lena) Berryman, 77, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born in Essex, VA., and was the daughter of the late Boyd Benjamin Schools and Alice Grace Schools. She was a resident of Gloucester County, VA. With her husband Floyd Berryman for over 40 years.

Imogen led a busy and fulfilling life. After graduating from Tappahannock High School she married her husband Floyd in 1958, and a few years later they had two daughters, Beverly and Karen.

Imogen began her career as a full time mom, but eventually entered the workforce as a teller for Middle Peninsula Savings and Loan where she worked her way up to Vice President of the company. Later in life, she worked at the York County Circuit Court Clerk's Office, where she served as the bookkeeper before retiring. Outside of her main careers, she was a member of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, she worked as a freelance notary and tax preparer, and owned an arts and crafts business with her husband, Maple Knoll Crafts.

Imogen and Floyd often referred to each other and their marriage as a team, saying that they were luck to grow up together. They loved spending time with each other, whether it was painting, square dancing, taking road trips to Pennsylvania, or just relaxing quietly together in their living room.

Imogen was kind, hardworking, and sharp as a tack. She loved her family, her work, coffee, and Ann's Family Diner. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brothers: Boyd Schools and Roger Schools, daughter: Beverly Jenkins, and husband: Thomas Floyd Berryman. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Todd Perkins, sister: Sarah Davis, brother: William Franklin Schools, six grandchildren: Daniel Jenkins, Lisa Jenkins, Justine Perkins, Jessica Perkins, Jenna Perkins, Steven Perkins, Jr., and four great-grandchildren: Christopher Davis, Skylar Cottee, Sophia Jenkins, and Caitlyn Jenkins.

The family will receive friends on Friday October 5, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 at Andrews Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia.
