Josephine Kerns Robins, 100, passed away on September 6, 2020. Born May 10, 1920, she was a lifelong resident of Gloucester.

Josie retired from the Virginia Department of Social Services in 1980. She was a life member of Singleton United Methodist Church.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Josephine (Peachie) Kerns, and her husband, Jefferson L Robins, Jr. She is survived by her brothers, Martin H. Kerns, and Robert V. Kerns, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at Singleton UMC on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of facemasks and social distancing for attendees is requested.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Commonwealth Senior Living (Gloucester House), and Riverside Hospice for their loving care and support.

Memorials may be made to Singleton United Methodist Church or Gloucester or Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squads.
