James is preceded in death by his parents George David West and Lillian Mae West, his brothers Ted West, Carol L. West, John E. West, William C. West, and his sisters Mary Alice West, Sarah Jane Jenkins, Mammie L. Hall, Ida M. Cusatis, Ruby W. Tabor. He is survived by his loving wife Beth Lorene West of 39 years. His living brothers Earnest D. West, Raymond J. West. His sons James Lee West (Sharon), Calvin Wayne West (Shelley), and James Lawson West. James was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. James was a life long waterman and loved his family and friends. Viewing will be February 12, 2022 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va..
