Howard Martin Montjoy died peacefully at his home in Saluda, VA the morning of August 20th 2021. His companion of many years Faith May held his hand as he departed this world to go home. Faith said that now he is back with his wife Sandy who preceded him years ago. Howard Montjoy was born in Olean, New York on October 30, 1947. Howard's family include his son Martin J Montjoy, in Dayton, Ohio; stepson Sean and his wife Cindy Wyan, in Sidney, Ohio; stepdaughter, Terri Anderson Harrison and David Anderson of Saluda, VA. His grandchildren include Aaron Montjoy, Elijah Rowe, Cody Wyan, Daniel Wyan, Cheyenne Hicks (Wyan), Tatiana Wyan, and Great Grandchildren Luna Hicks and Jarrod Hicks. Howard siblings include his brother and sister in-law Johnny Montjoy, and wife Marianne Montjoy, of Kettering, Ohio. Jill and husband James (DJ) Dryden, of Fairborn, Ohio. Kerry Elizabeth Bryant and husband Jim Bryant, in Hilliard, Ohio. Marty and wife Dee Dee Montjoy, Summerville, South Carolina. Scot and wife Wendy Montjoy, Clearwater, FL. Howard was a veteran who served three terms in Vietnam, as well as Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He spent some time at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8252 where he was well known for his quick wit and love of cheese balls. Normally, his beloved Triumph bike would be parked outside. This hero has completed his final mission. Rest in Peace Howard Montjoy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va.
