Frederick Ellis Pate, Jr. 59, of Mosley, Va., passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017. He was born in Richmond and was employed by Lee Hy Paving as a truck driver for 11 years. He was a member of the Gospel Chickenhouse Band since 1998 and also a member of H.O.G. club for many years.
He was preceded in death by his father Frederick E. Pate, Sr. and is survived by his wife Enid Marie Pate, his mother Priscilla Howell,his step-father, J.D.Pate, his sons Frederick E. Pate, III and Joseph R. Pate, many sisters, brothers, grandchildren,nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friend at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12 noon with funeral services starting at 1:30 p.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, Va. Memorial donations may be made to National Kidney Foundations of Virginia or to Amelia Davita Dialysis Center. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
