Elbert Byrd Hunt, 79, of Gloucester, passed away on October 1, 2022. He was a native of Poquoson, Va. and is the son of the late Elbert and Ellen Williams Hunt.
He retired in 2010 after 47 years of service from Northrop Grumman Shipyard where he was in the material department .He loved farming, hunting, fishing and planting trees and flowers.
He is survived by his wife Donna Raye Hunt, daughter Shelby Breyer, son Jeffrey Hunt, sister Donna Buhrman, brothers Billy Hunt and Craig Hunt, and grandchildren Jessie Hunt, Kalissa Breyer and Erin Breyer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Andrews Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or the Salvation Army. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
