Edward S. Shook Jr., 65, died on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at his home of 41 years surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Edward S. and Barbara Ann Shook Sr. He retired after 37 years working at the Newport News Shipbuilding. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping in the mountains and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Kimberly K. Shook and his sister, Theresa Nelson. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Brooks and her husband Ryan, his son, Bradley Shook and his wife Kristen, his sister, Sharon Sleeper and her husband Jay, his loving grandchildren Carson Brooks, Connor Brooks, Cyler Brooks, Caragan Brooks and Hallie Shook and many nieces, nephews and brother and sister in laws. The family will hold a graveside service on Monday, September 15th at 11:00 am at Rosewell Memorial Garden.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and all of the wonderful staff at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital and Riverside Hospice Care Middle Peninsula for the excellent and supportive care that Edward and his family received.
