March 2, 1933-May 15, 2025

Dorothy Phyllis Oliver, age 92 of Gloucester, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 15, 2025.  She loved nature: working in the flowerbeds, watching birds and her canine companions.  She was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church and in earlier years was very active in the Awana Program.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: Daniel Oliver, her parents: Hunter Roberts Sr. and Dortha Musante and brother, Hunter Roberts.

She is survived by her children: Velva Bunting (Dennis), Roy Moon, Robin Field (Tom), Tammy Johnson (Scott) and stepchildren: Marie Croxton, Timmy Oliver (Sherry), Pam Black (Kevin), Tracy Burke (Jimmy) and Dennis Oliver (Ashley).  Siblings: Juanita Moon.  She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special friend and caregiver, Claudia Taylor. Also, a special caregiver, Kimberly Clark.

A visitation will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025  from 10:00 until 11:00 at Petsworth Baptist Church 2471 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester Virginia 23061 with a  Celebration of Life Service, officiated by Reverend John Pouchot  beginning  11:00 am  with a private burial.  In memory of our loved one, memorial contributions may be made to Petsworth Baptist Church, 2471 Hickory Fork Road, Gloucester, Virginia 23061 or Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society PO Box 385 Gloucester, VA 23061.  Services under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
