Doris Hall Leigh passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, of 65 years. She retired from a career in Civil Service in January, 1983 at Fort Eustis, Virginia.
Doris was also preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, and four brothers. Doris is survived by her son, Barry, his wife, Connie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doris was a member of Bellamy United Methodist Church; a former member of the Bellamy Women's Group; the Gloucester chapter of the Women of the Moose and numerous civic groups.
She graduated from Achilles High School Class of 1944. She attended Hampton Roads Business College and St. Leo University, where she received an Associate degree.
Doris will always be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person who gave her smiles and friendship readily. She was a caring mother and hard- worker. Her family is truly grateful for the years they had together.
Funeral services will be held at Bellamy United Methodist Church by Dr. Ed Walker and Rev. Thomas Bunting at 1:00 on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The burial will be in the Bellamy Memorial Cemetery.

Box 1417 Gloucester, Virginia 23061. There will be a reception following the service. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
