Debra Lynn Peters (Newton), 62, of Gloucester, VA., died on March 10th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father and mother Warren Ellis Didra and Mary Lillian Didra, and her grandson Asher Isaac Root. She is survived by her two daughters, Krista Root and Kelly Reece; and her brother David Didra, as well as five grandchildren. She was born on April 20, 1960 and worked for the public school system for many years. In addition, she worked for the College of William and Mary and Christopher Newport University. She loved her grandchildren, country music, the river, cooking, gardening, crafts, spending time with her family, and her beloved dog Sammy. She will be dearly missed. Services will be private. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
