David A. Shepherd, 72, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 5th, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1951, in Salisbury, North Carolina. David was loving, caring, and enjoyed making people laugh. He loved Golfing, Antiques, Old tractors and a Good Deal. David enjoyed working for himself, driving his tractor trailer. David was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Clifford Shepherd. Survivors include his wife, whom he had been with for 37 years, Melinda Shepherd. Son, Adam Shepherd, daughter, Angie Jennings (Billy), step sons Donnie Taylor, and Brian Taylor (Michelle). Grandchildren, Amanda Murphy (Matt), Chase Taylor (Whitney), Cassidy, Tiffany, Charlotte, and Liam. Great grandchildren, Bradley, Zachary, and Lindsey. He is also survived by a brother, Danny Shepherd (Carol) and a sister, Donnell Miller (Harold). A memorial service conducted by Pastor Werlie Hendrix will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 2 p.m at Andrew's Funeral Home, 7192 Main Street,  Gloucester, VA. This is followed by a reception in the church social hall at Mathew's Baptist Church 8284 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins VA 23109. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 17448 John Clayton Memorial Hwy., Foster, VA 23056.
