David Norborne Parker, Jr., 78, passed away on October 16, 2021 in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. He was born in Newport News, Va. to the late Mary Jennings Parker and David N. Parker, Sr. He was a retired from the Newport News Fire Department as a firefighter after 32 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Corner Stone Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Rosan Parker, daughters Kathy Parker, and Crystal Graves, stepson Tre Hughes, stepdaughter Brooke Hughes and Courtney Holt, grandchildren Aquela Parker, Elannah Bozeman, Jalen Smith, Patricia Parker, Xavier Morgan, Hunter Sznoluch, Hannah Holt, E. Hadley Hughes, and great granddaughter Rue Smith.
A memorial service will be had at a later date. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
