David Michael Carey, 59, passed away on September 11, 2022 at his home. He was the son of the late James and Maribeth Carey. He was the assistant manager of the Ace Hardware Store in Gloucester Point.
He is survived by his sons, Stephen Carey and Thomas Carey, brother Daniel James Carey(Denise), nephew Raemy, niece Victoria, cousins Chuck and Jennie Carey, his former wife Robyn Clark, and many special lifelong fishing, Hatteras, music, and bonfire friends who were his "chosen family."
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to either Abingdon Fire and Rescue or Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
