In Loving Memory of
Cheryl Lumpkin
January 17, 1948 – April 29, 2025
Cheryl Lumpkin peacefully crossed over on April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Cheryl's gentle spirit and kind heart touched all who knew her.
Born on January 17, 1948, to Leslie and Allene Williams, Cheryl grew up in a loving home that valued faith, family, and hard work. Cheryl graduated from Gloucester High School in 1966. On January 26, 1976, she married the love of her life, Joe Lumpkin, and together they built a life full of warmth, joy, and shared memories.
Cheryl was the proud mother of her daughter, Kimberly Dawn, and a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren—Corey, Bryce, Taylor, and Emmitt—who brought endless joy to her life. She found great peace in tending her garden, where her love for nature and beauty flourished.
She now joins her beloved parents, Leslie and Allene Williams; her sister, Connie Greene, and her brother, Thomas Williams, in eternal rest.
Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Joe Lumpkin; her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Ron Henley; her treasured grandchildren, Corey, Bryce, Taylor, and Emmitt; her sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Steve Hogge and sister-in-law Barbara Thomas.
Her life will be remembered in the countless hearts she touched and the quiet strength she embodied. Cheryl will be deeply missed and forever loved.
