Charles Samuel Miller, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at his home in Gloucester, Va. He was the son of the late Charles and Anna Watterson Miller. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and following his retirement work at Ft. Eustis as an air traffic controller for over 20 years. He was a member of Mathews Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Alberta Elizabeth Miller, children William Christian Miller and his wife Beth Troendly and Kimberley Ann Miller Insley and her husband Denwood Wesley Insley, four grandchildren Erica Shea Stahmer, Kathryn Amy Royals, Kelly Ann Insley, and Lauren Elizabeth Insley, and five great grandchildren, Camille, Riann, Marena, Charleigh, and Wyatt, nieces and nephews Daniel Alkire, Jackie Hogan, Debbie Bigbee, Barbara Rogers, and Linda Thomas.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, PO Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, is in charge of arrangements.
