Charles Ben Haywood Sr. 97 of Bavon, Va. passed away at his home on March 5, 2024.  He was the son of the late Rennie Dean and Martha Fitchett Haywood.  He was also predeceased by his brother Calvin Haywood and grand daughter Angela Ashberry.   He was retired from M&G Transportation, after retirement he worked part time with Newton's Bus Service.  He was a member of Beulah Church in Bavon Va.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years Eileen Lewis Haywood, children Christy Love (Pepper), Cindy Daly, Cheryl Cooper (Mike) and Charles B. Haywood, Jr. (Annette), sister-in-law Christine Haywood, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Grave side service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to Beulah Church, 1130 Lighthouse Road, Port Haywood, Va. 23138, Mathew Volunteer Fire Department or Mathews Rescue Squad.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, Ivy and Alverta for the care they gave.  Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester Va. is in charge of arrangements.
