Candice Gaynell Crickenberger Matney, 75, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was a native of Schuyler, Va. and was the daughter of the late Earling and Cara Mae Crickenberger.
She was the first female crane operator at Newport News Shipbuilding and worked there for 48 years.
She loved the Lord.
She is survived by her son Bobby Matney(Audra), grandchildren Jason West(Amber and Ashley Field(Steve), and four great grandchildren.
The family ask that donations be made to Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society. Funeral services will be private. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. is in charge of arrangements.,
