Brenda Lelia Mitchem Metiche born December 22, 1941 in Tiptop, Virginia went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2019. She has resided in Gloucester, Virginia since 1979.

Brenda was a humble and gracious lady who always had a kind and encouraging word for everyone she met. Through 10 years of serious illness and health challenges she never gave up hope or became discouraged. She was a true example of hope, faith and perseverance.

She had a superpower when it came to gardening and could make anything bloom. An amazing cook, Brenda loved to cook big meals for her family and always had a great cake ready to be cut. If you left her house hungry, she would say it was your own fault. .. and it would have been. Her door was always open for family and friends, as they were everything to her.

Brenda is survived by her beloved Husband of 38 years, Krushchov Metiche .Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Crystal Cook, Amber Gibson, Kenneth (Evan) Gilliland, and Robert Mtichem; as well as 11 great grandchildren. . Additionally she is survived by nieces, Mira (Lynn), Teresa, Frances, Muzet, Brenda, Josanna, Sivan, Sarah and Ayh; nephews , John (Robert), David and Nawar; many great nieces and nephews, John (Robert), David and Nawar, many great nieces and nephews; as well as 3 sisters-in-law , Elham, Seham, and Sounay and 3 brothers-in-law, Samer, Adam, and Alex.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Shirley Edward Mitchem; Mother, Mary Francis Compton Mitchem; 2 brothers; Arnold R. Mitchem and Ferdie L. Mitchem; 2 sisters, Greta M. Price and Velda V. Davis; Son, Angello R. Mitchem, Grandson, Niki L. Link, and Nephew Quentin Davis.

A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Tina Melusky will be held on September 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, 804-693-2366, 7192 Main Street Gloucester, Virginia .
