Barbara Ann Gibbs, 79 of Dutton, Virginia went home to Jesus on May 29, 2024 at her home. Barbara was the daughter of the late Boyd Eugene White and Frances Estes White born on May 5th, 1945 in Mathews, Virginia. She was the former pastor alongside her husband Robert of the New Beginning International Outreach Center in Mobjack, Virginia. She was a devout Christian and visited many local church communities over the years. Barbara loved to sing, minister to others and worship the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her son Francis LeRoy Smith Jr., siblings Gayle Eugene White, Joyce White Kemp, and Jerry R. White. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Lee Gibbs Jr., son William Franklin Smith(Brandi) daughters Mary Ann Batchelor(John), Nancy Carol Smith, Kimberly Dawn Hall(Jeffrey), Joy Lynn Hayes, stepdaughter Carol Blankenship, sister Patricia Fernald Morgan(Richard), Michael Wayne White, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Her courage, beautiful smile, kindness, giving and big heart will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A gathering of family and friends will be held for Barbara on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 6-7:30 pm at the funeral home with a service the following day, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Ministry Outreach Center in Hayes, Virginia. Entombment will be at Windsor Gardens, Dutton, Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to Gloucester Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
