Anthony W. "Tony" Sylla entered eternal rest on January 29, 2025, in Gloucester, Virginia, surrounded by loved ones, at the home of his Step-Father and Mother, at the age of 36. Born on September 9, 1988.

Anthony was a cherished individual whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around him. He was born in N. Miami beach Florida to: Witzer Sylla and Elizabeth Johnson. He is survived by his Stepfather Walter C. Johnson of Gloucester, VA, Stepmother Lourdes Sylla of Richmond Hill GA. brother Johnathan I. Garland of Savannah, GA. sister Laurisa R. F. Sylla of Chester VA. Nieces Layla and Lyricah, Grand Parents: Wilhem and Mary Sylla. John I. Johnson (Deceased) and Frankie E. Johnson (deceased) Aunts and Uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Anthony graduated from Old Dominion University with his Bachelors in Engineering. Where he worked for DESMI for 7.5 years as an Application and Design Engineer.

Anthony was a very determined, he liked the concept of one day of owning and operating a luxury rental service in which he had started and managed briefly before becoming ill.

Anthony enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and attending sporting events with friends.

Anthony's life reflected the beauty of connection and compassion. His genuine heart and kind spirit touched many lives, leaving an enduring legacy of love and friendship.

May his memory bring peace to those who mourn his passing and serve as a lasting reminder of the light he shared with the world.

A celebration of Anthony's life will be held at Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester, VA. February 4th2025 from 12pm-3pm
