Obituary

Anne Elizabeth Rowe, 95, a thirty-year resident of Gloucester, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 after a brief stay at Heron Cove Rehabilitation in Gloucester Courthouse, VA. She was born December 29, 1922 in Schuyler, VA. She was a graduate of Morrison High School in Newport News, VA. Aside from a few brief years of employment as Office Manager for Southern Colorprint Corporation in Newport News, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-three years, Harvey B. Rowe, Sr., who died November 13, 2013. She is survived by her three children: Diane Malone of Harcum, VA, Brenda Andreoli of Terra Ceia, NC and Harvey Rowe, Jr. and his wife, Trish, of Harcum, VA. The immediate family also includes six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church in Hayes, VA. She was also a member, for over 60 years, of Warwick Chapter 43 of the Order of The Eastern Star, where she served for a period of time as Worthy Matron.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 29th at 12:00 Noon in the Worship Center at Union Baptist Church, 9254 Guinea Rd in Hayes, VA. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at 1:00 PM. Dr. Rodney Autry and Rev. Harvey Rowe, Jr. will be officiating. All guests are invited to a fellowship luncheon, generously provided by the Union Baptist Church family, which will be at the church, in Union Hall, immediately following the service.

There will be a private graveside service for the family at Ebenezer Cemetery on Harcum Road.
