Allen William Smith, Sr., 60 of Bohannon, Va., went to his heavenly home on November 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Marie Smith and son Larry Smith. Allen is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis, son Allen, Jr. daughters Amy (Tim) and Angie (Louis), nine grandchildren and sister Linda Ruckman.
Allen spent the early part of his life driving trucks but his passion has always been working on the water, from fishing to crabbing, he loved it all. He was a member of Shackleford Hunt Club for over 20 years, and looked forward to being out in the woods every fall. He was a friend to many and enjoyed talking to people everywhere he went. Allen will be missed by many. May he find peace in Heaven and keep his arms around us here until we meet again.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Virginia. Burial will be in Gloucester Point Cemetery. Mask are required for entering the funeral home.
